The session

How a corporate kayaking session runs

Brief, practice, launch

Certified guides run the safety briefing and paddling basics on land, then a short practice near shore before the group heads out. Life jackets and all equipment provided; nobody needs to have touched a paddle before.

Tandem teamwork

Two per kayak is the classic team building setup for a reason: pairs must sync their strokes and communicate to go anywhere. We mix pairings across departments so colleagues who never talk end up steering each other.

Games and endings

Optional on-water games, relay challenges and photo stops along the way, then finish with beach games or a BBQ if you want to make an afternoon of it.

Sheltered locations

Sessions run at calm, sheltered spots suited to beginners, chosen for your group size and start point.

Water confidence, not fitness

Kayaking at this pace is about rhythm, not strength. Mixed fitness groups do fine, and guides stay alongside throughout.

Combine activities

Pair kayaking with beach telematch games, a cycling morning or a kayak fishing add-on for the anglers in the team.

Good to know

Kayaking questions, answered

Do participants need to know how to swim?

Life jackets are worn at all times and sessions run in calm, sheltered water with guides alongside, so weak swimmers can participate comfortably. Let us know your group's comfort level and we will plan accordingly.

Will we capsize?

Very unlikely on the stable tandem kayaks we use, and the briefing covers exactly what to do if it happens. Getting a little wet is part of the fun; going fully in is rare.

What should we bring?

Sportswear you don't mind getting splashed, sunscreen, a cap and a change of clothes. Dry bags for phones are provided.

What happens if the weather turns?

Guides monitor conditions and lightning alerts throughout. Sessions pause or move to sheltered activities when needed, and we agree a postponement plan with you upfront.
