PAL Sports & Games and Outdoor Education for P1 & P2

Every primary school runs the Programme for Active Learning for all P1 and P2 pupils, 2 hours a week, and Sports & Games and Outdoor Education are two of its four domains. We deliver both as structured 8 to 10 week modules with fundamental movement skills outcomes.

Our PAL modules

Sports & Games

Multi-sport blocks built on fundamental movement skills: running, jumping, balancing, throwing, catching and striking, taught through games children love. Each 8 to 10 week block progresses from individual skills to partner and team games, with taekwondo, football and multisport variants to rotate across terms.

Outdoor Education

Confidence and curiosity outdoors: movement trails, balance and wheeled-mobility progressions (including balance bikes from our own fleet), simple navigation games and safe-exploration challenges on school grounds, building toward the outdoor readiness PAL is designed for.

Inside a block

How a module runs

Weeks 1 to 3

Foundations: class routines, movement vocabulary and baseline FMS stations. Coaches establish signals and transitions so 2-hour sessions stay orderly and active.

Weeks 4 to 8

Progression: skills combine into partner challenges and small games, with differentiated stations so confident movers stretch while others consolidate.

Final weeks

Application: a mini games day or challenge trail where every pupil demonstrates the block's skills, plus a simple outcomes summary for teachers.

Class management first

Our coaches teach 1,500 students weekly. Clear signals, fast transitions and positive behaviour systems keep 30 six-year-olds moving, not queueing.

Teachers stay informed

Term plans upfront, weekly session outlines, and an end-of-block summary aligned to PAL's broad outcomes for your records.

Wet weather solved

Every outdoor session has an indoor variant planned in advance, so PAL periods never turn into free play when it rains.

Good to know

PAL questions, answered

Which PAL domains do you deliver?

Sports & Games and Outdoor Education, two of PAL's four domains. Schools typically pair us with their arts vendors to cover the full rotation.

How are your coaches qualified for P1 and P2?

Coaches are NROC-registered with MOE instructor registration and First Aid certification, and teach lower primary and preschool ages every week, so early-years class management is their daily work.

Can you run PAL indoors?

Yes. Every module has hall and sheltered variants, and we adapt to your school's spaces, from indoor sports halls to canteens and sheltered walkways.

How do schools engage you for PAL?

Direct quote or through GeBIZ. Many schools tender PAL instructors mid-year for the following year; we respond to ITQs and tenders and support year-long engagements with option years.

Can PAL blocks rotate across sports?

Yes. Schools often rotate taekwondo, football and multisport blocks across terms so pupils experience different sports within the same domain.

Sorting out PAL for next year?

Tell us your cohort size and preferred domains, and we will send module outlines and a quote, or meet you on GeBIZ.
